Why Calcium Is Important

Calcium is a multitasking mineral! While most of us associate calcium with our bones and teeth, it also plays several other roles in the body, like muscle contraction and helping to regulate your heartbeat1. Calcium makes our muscles work, including our heart muscles. It’s also important in regulating blood pressure and is required for blood clotting2.

Learn About LACTAID® Lactose-Free Calcium-Enriched Milk

The source of most of our calcium is milk and dairy. But for those of us who experience discomfort from milk’s lactose sugar, not to worry! LACTAID® products, like LACTAID® Lactose-Free Calcium-Enriched Milk, contain a lactase enzyme that breaks down the lactose from dairy milk. The result is farm-fresh dairy milk with the same taste and calcium benefits of real milk, but without the discomfort.

Discover the Benefits and Nutrition of LACTAID® Calcium-Enriched Milk

Did you know the recommended calcium daily allowance for adults is 1,300 milligrams (mg) per day? That allowance increases to 1,500 mg per day for women over 50 years old and 1,200 mg per day for men over 70 years old1! LACTAID® Calcium-Enriched Milk allows you to enjoy a 500 mg serving of calcium in just one cup of milk—that’s up to 200 mg more calcium than a regular glass of milk. That’s 40% of the daily value (DV) of calcium per serving, compared to 25% DV in regular milk!
